Whilst concrete is a perfect medium for planters, there are some guidelines that need to be followed to ensure the structural integrity of your planter is maintained.
The roots of plants and trees cause destruction to even the hardest of material – like concrete. Whilst you can plant directly into you planter if you wish, the weight and pressure of the soil can cause damage and cracking so for these reasons it is recommended that plants are contained in plastic pots and placed inside the concrete pot. This process also assists should you need to move your pot.
Suitable for indoor use, or outdoor use away from the elements as they can fade in all day direct sunlight.
These pots are also fine to use in a wet space as a stool.
Concrete with shell terrazzo.
