If you have always wanted to try your hand at basket weaving, this one day workshop is a great places to start.  During this workshop you will learn how to get your basket started and methods to create different shapes and patterns.

This day is hosted by Shelley Panton at her rural property, nestled amongst the rolling hills of South Gippsland. It's a great day out for city folk who'd love some nature and creative time away from the city.


Date: Sunday 22nd May 10.30am-3.30pm

Please arrive by 9.45am to settle in so we can start at 10am sharp

The drive is roughly 2hours 15mins from central Melbourne, if you are coming with a friend you may like to car pool. Or contact to ask about local accomodation.


Weaving materials for you to make 1-2 baskets on the day, and a needle for you to keep if you'd like to continue to weave at home after the class.

Tuition with Shelley Panton in a small group of up to 10 people.

Morning Tea.

A rustic gourmet lunch and refreshments.


Please wear comfortable clothes to lounge around in, if the weather is nice we may weave outsdie.

We recommend layering as it can get breezy in South Gippsland.

Shoes must be closed in.


All attendees to our property must be paid, ticketed guests.

Bookings are non-refundable or transferable so please be sure you can come before you make your booking.

Should our event be cancelled due to a Government instructed COVID lockdown, the hosts will offer a full refund.

If it's raining (as it often does in South Gippsland) our event will still go ahead.  Please allow extra driving time to drive safely.

Persons attending this weekend must be over 18 years of age.

Any dietary requirements must be advised to your hosts prior to the day of your arrival.  While we will do our best to accomodate your dietary requests, we cannot guarantee there will be no traces of nuts, dairy, gluten etc.
