The Shelley Panton Table Series Dyson Mug is a classic piece of Australian pottery history.
Renowned Australian potter, June Dyson, set up her studios in 1945. June formed a formidable partnership with her husband Colin who became the company’s business director. And it was June’s second son Robert 'Andy' Gordon, who showed most interest in the pottery, helping out in the studios from his early twenties. It was inevitable that Andy would one day follow in his mother’s footsteps.
This design is an exact eplica of June Dyson's mug that she handmade in the 1980’s. The Dyson mug is a unique piece and so loved that it just had to be revived.
The Dyson mug is sure to be as much a favourite today as it was when June first made it on her potter’s wheel.
These pieces are made with a reactive glaze which adds to the natural beauty of the product and ensures that each item is unique.
