The Dharma Door Amua Wall Hanging brings a textural fusion of tribal and tropical to your interior. Layer upon layer of handcrafted palm leaf fringe with a graphic twist that showcases a meticulously woven base piece.
Inspired while visiting their Fair Trade artisan partners in Bangladesh, Dharma Door drew upon the thatched palm leaf roofs and fences in the villages where other macrame wall hangings are handcrafted. As soon as Dharma Door spotted this technique, they envisioned it as wall hanging and adapted it to palm fringing attached to a woven base piece, similar to the mats used in local homes. Always keeping their artisans’ futures in mind, Dharma Door are mindful to develop products beyond macrame with them, and so the Amua wall hangings was born.
