The design is originally from Ernie Cayzer who made these chairs for many years and examples can be found all over the Strzelecki Ranges set up to embrace our amazing views.
Arron (aka. Mr Panton) spent time with Ernie learning his tecquniques and templates and is now the custodian of the Ernie Cayzer Strzelecki Chair. The true test of Ernie's design is to sit back, enjoy your view with the beverage of your choice, and feel the worries of the drift away.
The timbers we source are grown in South Gippsland, milled by Dan at Amber Creek Timber Mill, then seasoned in his solar kiln before delivery to Arron in his Toora based workshop.
Your purchase of this chair will preserve a piece of South Gippsland and support the locals who harvest, mill, design, and build these chairs.
We usually have some in production most months, if they are not available on the day the lead time is 1-4 weeks.
PICK UP FROM OUR STORE IN SOUTH GIPPSLAND, we can deliver if you are based within 30 km or so from our store.
To extend the life if this chair we don't recommend leaving them outdoors in the rain.
