If you love an energetic environment and have a passion for homewares, pottery, plants, books, cooking, and good living, you may like to know our boutique business will have an opening for a Full-time Retail Assistant to join our team in late-Winter/early-Spring. This role would suit a retail all-rounder who has a minimum of five years retail experience.
We are a family owned and operated business who manages all elements of running a retail business in-house. This role would very much suit a retail all-rounder who has a varied skill set and who loves variety within a structured role.
To be successful for this role you would need to have good knowledge of our style of product offering, and your administration skills and eye for detail would be as sharp as your sales, communication, and customer service ability to assist our store manager and team in the smooth running of our business.
We have a tight knit team consisting of the store owner, our store manager, one full-timer, and a small team of casuals. Store owner, Shelley Panton, works alongside the team between two locations: our Prahran based store and her South Gippsland pottery studio.
We pride ourselves on having kept our business stable and trading strong throughout the past two years of the pandemic, so we are looking for a candidate who is looking for a stable base and who sees themselves in this role long term.
EXPERIENCE:-Minimum five years' experience in a similar role
SKILLS:-Confidence in handling transactions and varying pricing structures
ATTRIBUTES:-You would have a sharp eye for detail
The position is five days per week, which includes a Saturday each week (and the six Sunday's prior to Christmas).
We are looking for a person who is fully available for this role who has no other outside employment commitments or aspirations that would affect their availability to fulfil the full-time position requirements.

We are flexible on the starting date for the right candidate, however ideally this person would be able to start this position by August 2022.
Salary is negotiable, based on experience.
